I am a Registered Massage Therapist working at Maxfit Movement Institute Centre for Integrative Health Care. Here's a bit about me:
Randy brings over 19 years of clinical experience with advanced education and practice in Myofascial Therapy. His treatments incorporate an eclectic blend of Swedish massage, hydrotherapy and advanced manual modalities such as myofacial therapy, muscular unwinding, muscle energy, lymph drainage and deep systemic relaxation therapy (guided relaxation). His preferred areas of practice include:

·      breath awareness and education – deep systemic relaxation therapy
He embraces eastern vendatic practices of yoga, breath awareness and deep relaxation practices to maintain his health and spiritual balance. 


Massage therapy session


General relaxation massage – to improving your well-being. This session would decrease general muscular tension of everyday life. It would be beneficial for tension headaches, general neck and shoulder discomfort, difficulty sleeping and managing your general stress. Who benefits from this session: Everyone.

Sports, Stretch therapy, and Musculoskeletal health - rehabilitation therapy that reduce the stressors placed on your muscles and joints.  Who benefits from this session: professional athletes, weekend warriors, sports men and women, people with joint replacements, arthritis, post fracture, whiplash etc.
Women’s Health – two health areas that are unique to women are pregnancy during all its stages and breast care. From the aches and pains of increased muscular demands during pregnancy or the breast discomfort from the menstrual cycle or surgical procedures to the breast these sessions will address your unique needs. Who benefits from this session: if you are pregnant or considering starting a family, has breast discomfort, or has had surgery to the breasts
Post surgical and Scar tissue and management – scar tissue formation is a normal physiological process. However if the scar is not a functional one, it can compress on neighboring cells and organs causing adhesions, pain and it will reduce your range of motion. These sessions are aimed at improving the function of scars. Who benefits from this session: if you have had any types of major or minor surgeries such as joint replacement, organ surgery, sport injuries, and if you experience chronic re-occurring pain.
Respiratory health – breath is life. Optimum function of the respiratory system ensures all cells of the body are fully nourished with life-giving oxygen. During this session the focus would be to improve and restore the proper movement and function of the muscles and joints of the thorax. Who benefits from this session: if you have asthma, bronchitis, had thorax surgery, prior fractured ribs, or experience bouts of anxiety and panic attacks
Digestive health – better digestion means healthy body. Ensuring efficient function of the digestive tract is essential for good nutritional absorption as well as proper elimination of toxic and waste from the body. Who benefits from this session: if you experience constipation, feel bloated and have general non-specific lower back pain
Stress and chronic Pain Management: Everyone will experience periods of stress. If not managed in a healthy manner our body takes on the burden and we experience stress related conditions like: insomnia, anxiety, depression an musculoskeletal pain syndromes. These massage therapy sessions are geared towards assisting you in managing you stress levels by addressing the musculoskeletal concerns as well as teaching your stress management and breath awareness techniques. Who benefits from this session: Everyone; students, executives, health care providers, care givers, athletes etc.
